Slides
Prints
Negatives
Slides are renowned for their colour and tonality and I strive to preserve as much detail as possible and provide the highest quality files. You will receive your digitized slides in a password protected private gallery, ready to share with family and friends.
Scanned using a Nikon Coolscan 5000 at 4000dpi in RGB and saved as a TIFF. Each is individually colour corrected, basic dust and scratch removal, converted to sRGB and saved as a JPEG for web viewing and consumer printers, and resized to 300dpi allowing for 10x14” prints at full resolution and can be printed up to 11x17”. Your images will be hosted online for a year.
More extensive blemish removal may cost extra.
Your prints will be scanned using an Epson V850 at 600+dpi, ensuring each print will be 6000 pixels on the longest side. Each image will be straightened with optional cropping.
You will receive your digitized prints in a password-protected private gallery, where they will be hosted online for a year.
Any prints larger than 8x10” will be custom priced.
Whether your images are colour or black and white, scanning rolls of negative film are a wonderful way to bring back the full story the time and you will often see images that were never printed, but just as cherished.
Negatives are scanned at 4000dpi as a digital negative (DNG or RAW for the people familiar), and then converted to a positive and individually colour corrected, resized to 300dpi allowing for 11x17” prints at full resolution.

Get in Touch
Fill out a Questionnaire
Once I have had a chance to look over your collection, you will be sent an online questionnaire that goes over preferences, including whether to include borders, if you want to also receive the unedited files, preferred naming structure and the likes.
Use the contact form at the bottom of the page or email me. We will discuss your needs, how your images have been stored, how they should best be organized before scanning, and arrange delivery of your images.

Sample Images will be Provided
Shortly after receiving your questionnaire I will scan 5 of each medium, at no charge, and upload the files to a gallery for you to see, ask any questions, and finally approve for the rest of the collection to be scanned. At this time, half of the projected total is due.
FAQ
I will treat your images as if they are my own, as consider the integrity of your images of great importance. These are a piece of your history after all. I have no food or drink policy on my desk. When I am not working on your images they will be stored in a plastic container. All images will be handled wearing powder-free nitrile gloves. Before scanning each image is cleaned of dust using a handheld air blower (rather than compressed air). If there was a reason to evacuate, your images are prioritized along with our dog, Hobbit.
Your slides may be bright pink, your prints have become shifted in colour or faded over time. This is common depending on the type of film or printing method, and how the film or print has been stored. If your collection contains these, I will do my best to correct the colour as much as possible, however, you may want to consider having these images converted to black and white so you can enjoy them more thoroughly.
